Lovely face shot from a relatively unusual angle. It not being a 'beauty' shot, the positioning of the rings and the different colours of the bands in her hair are important in my opinion.

An impressive and strong portrait which makes clear the viewer the exotic one of a foreign country.
With the best wishes

The bold colors leap out at me, Terri. The detail in the face is very good but the lack of same in his chest (and neck) area make them look unfinished IMO. Your output amazes me as does your talent. 2+ tu.

Hi, Tave,
You've gone rogue in terms of your passions and have developed a bone fetish, much like O'Keeffe's! This is a wonderfully emotive picture. The muted tones and heavy shadow create, for me, a kind of joy in dessication. The fact that the remains are unidentifiable (unless Robert is right) create an additional level of mystery that I find delightful! -Terri

Hi, Roar,
I agree that the bar should be removed, but, for me, this is more than a snapshot--it's a stunning and evocative portrait. I love the woman's inscrutable expression, the wrinkled hand and the heavy shadow it casts, and the soft, chiaroscuroed background of greenery. This is one of my favorite pieces of yours! -Terri

Hi, Dave,
What a lovely and playful shot! The bird almost appears to be playing Hide and Go Seek. I love it that you've captured only the head; this bird's expression has a distinctly human quality.

Hi Ludo ,you should be very satisfied with the finish on this very natural pose and take. The ghostly faint image of building behind is one of your best choices in that area of backdrop, it does not take anything away from her beauty but adds that bit of class to being in front of delicate culture. The zest and life of this girl is calmly captured and she has a very soothing front with once again your own recipe of capturing eyes.My only little nick of a moan is the tanned...

Hi Karen its unusual to exhibit in such small size,I,d love you to be excused and re-enter larger but you have crits, but at the same time my fear is that it might have some serious flaws enlarged so I will try to crit as seen.Your use of filters is pleasing and like the diagonal business bottom right triangle to top right lesses biz, however I looked at dropping top down to just above second slat of BG fence to make this more cool. The solid house type hardness takes away...

Hi Roar, the position of pose and facial look is acceptable, the shadow of the wrinkled hand across her attire is good. On the other side is the active background which if face had been brightened could be ok,bottom left could have "bar" removed and the pale ghostly shadow going up round and down at edge of cloth. Personally she has such a lived in and interesting face,I,d have concentrated on that by closing in on hand and face. Cheers--Dave

Well Terri you have certainly drawn out the look of Native American in the modern day as you call it" Westernized garb".Its the deep lined and well worn presentation that has me thinking of his past and how he adapts to the modern society. There's plenty for him to tell us here. Cheers--Dave

I'm going to put aside the fact that I love short hair on an attractive woman. Even if I didn't this is an excellent shot. Everything is a plus for me. Perfect composition! Wonderful subject with tasteful accessories. Lovely details and the DOF really makes her stand out.

Hi, Ludo, this is another lovely portrait! I love the rich skin tones here and the high-contrast, velvety red mouth. The woman has an interesting expression, and a touch of reserve or sadness seems to haunt her smile. Another stunning and absolutely beautifully detailed and super-sharp portrait! Great work! -Terri

I like what I can see of this image. I just wish it was a little bigger. The muted palette gives it a nice dream effect. Thanks.

There seems to be a difference in the expression of the lips and the eyes, making her more enigmatic, and interesting to me. I really love the separation of the background here. It is almost like a painted backdrop in old studio portraits, perfectly muted. Thanks.
